San Francisco To Enforce New Health Orders For Events, Starting January 15

San Francisco is making some changes to mega-event regulations due to the rise in COVID-19.

Starting January 15th, mega event capacity will be lowered to 500 attendees indoors and 5,000 attendees outdoors.

According to KRON 4, updated vaccine requirements for mega events will go into effect on February 1st. These include booster shots for those eligible, proof of vaccination (and booster shots) for working staff and more.

The policy for children attending mega-events will be as follows:

  • Ages 2-4: Must provide negative COVID-19 test from 1-2 days prior to event
  • Ages 5-11: Must be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test result 1-2 days prior to event
  • Ages 12-15: Must be vaccinated (booster will be required starting March 1)
  • Ages 16+: Must be vaccinated with booster (if eligible).
