Starting February 1st, you will need to be fully vaccinated to enter restaurants, gyms and other indoor businesses in Oakland.
According to NBC Bay Area, patrons ages 12+ must show proof of vaccination "where food and drinks are served, gyms and fitness centers, senior care facilities, Oakland City Hall and large indoor events at city-owned and privately owned buildings." Adults will be required to show ID. Those with valid medical exemption must show ID and a negative covid test to enter indoor businesses.
People who are unvaccinated may enter Oakland City with a negative covid test result and photo ID.
Several Bay Area counties, including San Francisco, Berkeley and Contra Costa, have also approved similar vaccine mandates.
