California's state-wide indoor mask mandate is set to end next week on February 16th.
The universal indoor mask mandate was reinstated back in December and extended through the holidays as Omicron surged throughout the state. Cases have reportedly dropped dramatically and continue to improve.
Masks will still be required at schools, public transportation and several counties in the Bay Area where they have set their own rules on wearing masks indoors. Those who are not vaccinated for COVID-19 are also required to continue to wear masks, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
