It looks like the Gilroy Garlic Festival is officially canceled!
The Gilroy Garlic Festival Association announced they they have canceled the popular South Bay festival indefinitely due to financial issues. Gilroy Garlic Festival Board Member Tom Cline told NBC, “It was over the 10 years of just losing money was the main culprit and the main cause of what was going on with the festival and being able to be sustainable."
Gilroy will still host smaller events in lieu of the massive annual festival that has been around since the 1970s.
