A now-viral video shows a squid going from opaque to clear once it gets picked up out of water. The user who posted the video says
there are 3 species in this genus bigfin reef squids are capable of metachrosis changing body color and patterns really rapid through voluntary control of chromatophores. One species, the bigfin reef squid also has iridophores , that produces iridescent metallic greens and reds when illuminated and leucophores, a reflector-type structural coloration that reflects ambient light, such that they are white in white light etc
