San Francisco will be sending a condolences book to the British Consulate General in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Mayor London Breed announced that visitors are invited to San Francisco City Hall on Friday, September 9 to sign their condolences. The book will be available to sign at the Fourth Floor South Gallery from 10am to 3pm.

"The Queen's leadership and dedication to public service over the last seven decades has left a lasting legacy that rose above politics. She saw the world not only through the eyes of a monarch, but as one who understood that unity was in the best interest of the people she represented and served. Our thoughts are with the Queen's family and the people of the United Kingdom," the San Francisco Mayor said in a series of tweets.

Queen Elizabeth passed away at the age of 96. She is the longest reigning monarch after serving 70 years on the throne. According to the Washington Post, Prince Charles will succeed his mother as King.
