San Francisco Is No Longer The 2nd Most Expensive City To Rent

San Francisco and New York City have been battling it out for years when it comes to being the most expensive cities to rent in. However, another city has made it to the top of Zumper's National Rent Report!

According to Zumper, Boston has now surpassed San Francisco and is the 2nd most expensive city to rent. A 1-bedroom apartment in this New England city now has a median cost of $3,060. Meanwhile, New York remains the #1 most expensive city to rent with a median cost of $3,860. San Francisco has moved to #3 with a median cost of $3,020.

Additionally, San Jose is #4 with a median cost of $2,600. Oakland has also made the list at #9 with a median cost of $2,200 for a 1-bedroom apartment.
