It's been a tough few weeks for people working in the Bay Area.
Several Bay Area companies conducted mass layoffs that impacted thousands of their employees, including:
- Juul - 400 jobs
- Meta - 11,000 jobs
- Salesforce - Fewer than 1,000 jobs
- Stripe - 1,100 jobs
- Lyft - 700 jobs
- Twitter - 3,700 jobs
- Chime - 160 jobs
- Robinhood - 31% of its staff
- Tesla - 10% of its salaried workers
- Netflix - 450 jobs in 2022
