Do Not Feed Your Dog These Foods On Thanksgiving

'Tis the season! While your pup can indulge in some of your Thanksgiving feast, your furry friend should not have any of the following (according to Daily Paws):

  • Turkey Skin, Bones, Drippings
  • Stuffing
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Sage
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Nutmeg
  • Mushrooms
  • Butter
  • Alcohol
  • Xylitol (a sugar substitute in candy, chewing gums and more.

Consuming any amount of these foods may wreak havoc on your pup's digestive system, give them diarrhea, cause seizures or in some cases, send you on a trip to the emergency vet!

Alternatively, here are some foods that you could safely share with your pup this Thanksgiving!

  • Unseasoned Turkey
  • Cranberries
  • Plain Sweet Potatoes
  • Greens Beans
  • Pumpkin (Cooked or Canned)
  • Corn
  • Apples
