Looks like you'll have to cancel your trip to Glowfari and the Oakland Zoo!
According to NBC Bay Area, the storm passing through the Bay Area left a massive sinkhole at the Oakland Zoo, making the area impassable and full of rushing water. The deepest part of the sinkhole is reportedly 10ft. by 10ft. Additionally, the storm also caused "erosion damage" and left a few fallen trees on the property.
Oakland Zoo CEO Nik Dehejia says the animals are safe. Staff will continue to care for the animals while the park is closed to the public. The zoo is scheduled to be closed until January 17th in order to repair damages.
Those who previously bought tickets to Glowfari will be refunded for the days the park is closed. Dehejia says talks about extending Glowfari is currently in the works.
