4th of July Planning: San Jose

The Rose, White & Blue Parade is a historic community celebration that brings together residents, businesses, and organizations of San José and the greater Bay Area in celebration of diversity, public spirit, and floral and agricultural heritage. Starting at 10 am near Lincoln High School on The Alameda, this parade showcases classic cars cruising, bands jamming, dance groups grooving, and community troupes strutting their stuff. https://www.rwbsj.org/

Keep the party going after the parade with the Rose, White & Blue Festival. Explore local vendors offering an array of goodies, food and live performances and interactive exhibits highlighting the best of San Jose and the Bay Area.

The Fireworks! The Rotary Club of San Jose is bringing the heat with an epic fireworks show at Discovery Meadow. At 9:28 pm, they'll kick off the show with a the national anthem. Then, be wowed by display of fireworks that'll ignite the sky at 9:30 pm sharp.

If you're driving to the fireworks show, head to Discovery Meadow at 108 Woz Way @ San Carlos, San Jose, CA. Just a friendly heads-up, certain parking lots like the 87 & Woz and Woz & Almaden lots will be closed for safety reasons. Alternative parking options, including the Convention Center lot, will be available. Check out http://www.sjpark.org for more parking information.

Try Valley Transit Authority (VTA) light rail. They've got you covered with direct access to the Convention Center and Children's Discovery Museum stations. And cars when the fireworks show ends.
