4th of July Planning: Redwood City

The Redwood City Independence Day celebration on July 4th, 2023, promises an unforgettable day filled with exciting events and activities for the entire family. From pancakes with the firefighters to a lively parade, arts and crafts, and an awe-inspiring fireworks extravaganza, Redwood City has it all

Don’t miss the traditional pancake breakfast at the main Marshall Street fire station from 8 am to 11 am. Support the Redwood City Fire Department, and enjoy a yummy start to your day.

Be a part of the largest Independence Day parade in Northern California! A tradition since 1939! It kicks off at 10am. Be sure to check the parade map, as it showcases the route and allows you to plan the best viewing spot. And just a reminder, no saving spaces until the morning of the 4th.

The 4th of July Festival! A Day of Family Fun: From 9 am to 5 pm, the festival offers activities to entertain visitors of all ages. Explore the arts and crafts stalls, where local artisans display their creations. Local food establishments on site. Dedicated children's activities, face painting, and exciting games.

Join the talented artists at Courthouse Square and Chalk Alley for the Chalk Festival, one of the newest additions to the festival. On July 3rd and 4th, artists of all skill levels will create their masterpieces using vibrant chalk.

The highlight of the day arrives at approximately 9:30 pm, with a breathtaking fireworks display over the Port of Redwood City. Find a spot with a clear view of the skies above the Port, or head to high points across the Peninsula for a panoramic view
