The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is extending the air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke through Wednesday, August 23. The far-reaching impact of smoke from multiple wildfires in Northern California is anticipated to affect air quality across the Bay Area. During this time, air quality is predicted to reach the "moderate" range on the U.S. EPA's Air Quality Index.
Pollutant levels are NOT expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard and there is no Spare the Air Alert in effect.
