Shawn Mendes is most well-known for his dramatic and heart-wrenching love songs like "Stiches," "Treat You Better," and "Mercy." However his newest offering, "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" is a departure from that style. It's much more upbeat and something you can dance to – which is exactly what he was going for. It starts off sounding much like his other songs, but builds to a peak with handclaps, funky guitar riffs, and and foot-tapping bass. We'd love to see more of this from Shawn!
