Writer Tweets Disgusting 'Jokes' After Ariana Grande Concert Tragedy

After what police are reporting as a bomb went off at Manchester Arena and killed at least 19 people and injured more than 50 others following an Ariana Grande concert, "freelance writer" David Leavitt decided to take to Twitter and offer his hot take on the incident... by stating that "the last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too."

(The tweet has since been deleted... see screenshot below)

He followed with another "joke," which might have been acceptable (though overused) at any other time except for following a bombing that literally killed people.

He then thought it would be a good idea to brag about how much hate he was getting over his tweets.

More than 45 minutes later, he starts to come to his senses, maybe. "Too soon?" Yeah dude, too soon.

More than two hours after his original tweet, he "apologized" and offered his condolences. However, stating that he "didn't realize the magnitude of the tragedy" doesn't really hold much weight since his initial tweet literally said there were multiple confirmed fatalities. You can't backtrack from that.

Absolutely disgusting.
