We went out to the Gingerbread House at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to celebrate National Gingerbread House Day!
This massive gingerbread house is made of REAL bricks of gingerbread and all edible icing, candy, etc! According to the Fairmont Hotel, the entire structure is:
"... 25 feet high, 35 feet wide and 10.5 feet deep and will feature more than 6,000 house-made gingerbread bricks (largest bricks to date), 1,650 pounds of candy and 3,300 pounds of royal icing."
