Mexico Gets Tourism Bump Amid Pandemic

Despite being in the midst of a pandemic, Mexico is seeing a surge of American tourists.

Cancun, Riviera Maya, and Tulum have seen around 961,000 tourists from the close of 2020 to the start of the year and that number is constantly rising.

As the winter rolls along, concerns of a drop in tourism numbers could happen as more and more COVID cases arise in Mexico and the U.S.

Experts fear that those that traveled to Mexico during the holiday will spread the virus when going back to places that may have their virus numbers under control.

What's the farthest you've traveled since the pandemic?
