Two Bay Area Men Sentenced To Life In Prison For Killing Officer In Italy

Two Bay Area men were vacationing in Italy when a drug deal reportedly went bad and resulted in the death of a police officer in 2019.

According to NBC Bay Area, the two men stated they were acting in self defense. The officer was stabbed eleven times.

"Elder and Natale-Hjorth were indicted on charges of homicide, attempted extortion, assault, resisting a public official and carrying an attack-style knife without just cause. They were found guilty of all counts."

They have been sentenced to life in prison. More information available here.
