12 Year-Old San Franciscan Chosen As Lead Character In "Luca"!

World Premiere Of Disney and Pixar's “Luca”

12-year-old Emma Berman from San Francisco did the voice of Giulia in Disney Pixar's "Luca"!

She got started acting in theatres around the Bay Area and auditioned for "Luca" in 2019. Pixar called her three months later letting her know she got the part. She practiced her Italian accent at Trattoria Da Vittorio, with a waiter who worked at the San Francisco restaurant.

Emma Berman said she had zoom sessions where the waiter would teach her Italian,

He was reading everything on the menu with the Italian pronunciation for me. It was definitely helpful.
