Starting August 15, San Francisco's Free Muni For Youth Program will expand to all youth under the age of 18, just in time for the new school year.

The one-year program will allow all youth to board Muni buses without a clipper card, eliminating the previous application process and regardless of financial status. While all youth will be able to board Muni, SFMTA encourages those 16 and up to carry a school ID or another form of ID for age verification.

Youth residents of San Francisco that travel via cable cars may also apply for an unlimited ride pass.
