Oakland may be getting a WNBA team after all.
According to KRON4, "In a rare unanimous vote, the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Authority approved a non-binding term sheet clearing the way for a WNBA team to play in Oakland."
There is still a long way to go, including submitting a new team proposal to the COO of the WNBA, but Oakland is hopeful that a new team will be coming to the Bay in the next few years.
