Jorge Sanchez is from the East Bay and is part of Team USA Men's Wheelchair Basketball team. He was diagnosed with bone cancer in his left femur when he was 8-years old. After going through chemo for six months they gave him a choice to either keep his leg and have a 50% chance of cancer returning or get his leg amputated.
After going through many struggles, Jorge Sanchez never gave up and is now playing for Team USA in the Tokyo Paralympics!
