San Francisco Board of Supervisors has approved police to use robots as a deadly force option. According to KTVU,

That means military-grade machines, operated by trained officers, could potentially kill suspects during critical incidents

The San Francisco Police is said to already have 17 robots but none of them have live ammunition. The police department said that the robots would only have explosives attached to get into a building with armed suspects.
