Divers Discovered Giant Oarfish Off The Coast Of Taiwan

This is why I don't mess with the ocean!! According to ABC 7, divers discovered something amazing off the northeast coast of Taiwan - a GIANT deep sea oarfish...

The video below was taken in late June and it shows the giant oarfish that is over 6 feet long and appeared to have giant bite marks. Noooo thank you🙅‍♀️ The crazy part about this is that the oarfish is a deep-dwelling species that makes "their homes in the mesopelagic zone 200 to 1,000 meters below the ocean's surface, so sightings are rare."

In Japanese folklore, the oarfish is known as a "Messenger from the Sea God's Palace" and has gained a reputation as a doomsday harbinger of sorts, according to National Geographic.

The local legend claims that the oarfish appears before natural disasters such as tsunamis or earthquakes and back in 2017, 6 oarfish were seen days before the deadly earthquake in southern Philippines. For more, click here.
